With Amelia’s Second birthday right around the corner I have put together a little gift guide of ideas of presents perfect for 2 year old’s at a range of prices!
Micro Balance Bike
Bubabloon Balloon Toy
All of these toys are great for the garden and some are perfect for inside too. A cow hopper would be endless fun in the summer and could even be used inside. A playhouse is a slightly more expensive but perfect gift for a 2 year old and this one from Waltons is so lovely. I think if your toddler is ready a balance bike would be brilliant but I know Amelia still can’t scoot around properly on her Jamm Scoot. At two catching and throwing is great and learning to do that with a Bubabloon is the best way to do it. I had a bubble lawn mower at around this age and remember having so much fun with it. Amelia is more and more keen to join in with household chores these days and what a fun way to do so!
GLTC Art Easel
This Little People Disney Princess Musical Dancing Palace would be a perfect gift for a little girls second birthday. The figures dance about it plays music. A great one for the little girls who love their Disney Princesses. At two kids love spending more time doing crafty things but there isn’t always time for that with an easel you could know that they would be drawing with chalk and not making a mess. Toddlers love copying every day tasks so doing so with a play kitchen and all the gear to go with it would be endless fun and this one from IKEA is so simple and reasonably priced. An upgrade from the larger Megabloks would be Duplo and this box would be a great starter kit! Finally this train set from Great Little Trading Company is compatible with lots of other sets from GLTC and so it can be as small or as large as you like which I think is brilliant.
Bath Book – Wicked Uncle
John Lewis My First Baby
This super cute cat toy would be a great birthday gift from Izziwotnot who do a range of nursery/baby bedtime furniture and accessories and a baby doll is always a good present for a two year old who wants to be just like Mummy and Daddy. For times when you can’t avoid the messy play/painting this personalised apron will come in handy and what a lovely thoughtful gift. I think anything personalised adds just an extra something special and My 1st Years do this lovely birthday book.
If your stuck for buying a present a great website for helping you find gifts for children on any age is Wicked Uncle; you can select the gender, child’s age and price and it gives you a wide range of toys/books/gifts to choose from. So when your next stuck for a present idea don’t forget to check out Wicked Uncle as the website is really easy to use and delivery can be as quick as the next day and even come wrapped!
Wheelies Toy Cars
My Doodles do some really fab and fun protectors for tablets, ipad’s and phones which are great for when the small hands are borrowing your technology! Something I can’t wait for is to start playing games with Amelia, I’m really looking forward to her being at an age to join in and want to play fun little board and card games. Orchard Toys do some brilliant ones and this post box game is all about colours. Toy cars are fun for anyone, these ones are a really nice size but are still super soft and colourful. With technology constantly moving I think it’s great to get children using it but I think two is way way to young to have a tablet/ipad. Amelia uses mine occasionally for a couple of games (only recently) or to watch Peppa Pig but this tablet from VTech has fun games and lots of light up keys and music.
So those are my top picks for a two year old. I’m sure I’ve missed some good ones off there but these are things I know Amelia would love and cover a variety of prices and genres!
I hope if you have a 2 year olds birthday coming up you find this useful! Still feels so weird knowing that in just under two weeks I will have a two year old!!
Thanks for reading!xx
