As the afternoons are getting darker and the weather getting that little bit colder we are opting for staying inside a little more now so we spent a lovely afternoon having afternoon tea with some fabulous picks from Great Little Trading Company.
I love the attention to detail with all these products; I was so excited unpacking the afternoon tea set as it almost looks good enough to eat. I’m a huge fan of wooden toys and seeing toys like this is just one of the reasons why. The complimentary colour combinations and just the entire set is so stunning and a really lovely lovely toy. The three tiered cake stand has macaroons, cakes, scones and sandwiches. The cake stand is beautiful and I will probably be pinching it to showcase my own bakes!
Amelia loved passing out bits for the dolls to have and she was pretty selective about who had what. We talked about what might be inside the sandwiches and what flavours the cakes might be which were obviously all chocolate!
We then moved onto having tea with the wooden Daisy Tea Set. Amelia asked if I wanted sugar or not, which I got regardless of my answer. She really was so careful pouring the tea, literally reminded me of that scene in Mulan and if we weren’t full enough from our Afternoon Tea the Daisy Tea set even comes with a few biscuits! The set is another beautiful piece from GLTC and comes on a lovely little wooden tray complete with everything you need to make a couple of cups of tea, stir in your sugar with the sweet little spoons and top up with milk.
We had our entire afternoon tea from inside the Blossom Wigwam which was so lovely. A wigwam really is a lovely setting whether it’s snuggling up to watch a film, reading some books, making a den or just somewhere to play with some toys. Amelia loves the Blossom wigwam as it’s mostly pink which is her favourite colour as she reminds me most days and the floral print over it is beautiful. It’s really fabulous quality and even had a little window for peeping! It only took me 5-10 minutes to get it set up and then it was ready for Amelia to get inside. Honestly her eyes lit up when she saw it and it’s so spacious she was so excited to invite me in to her little house!
The Wigwam is going to be in Amelia’s bedroom as a little reading nook and she took full advantage of that the other morning. It’s so nice to just spend some time reading books and enjoying the wigwam in her room.
Do you have any little ones who would love this afternoon tea set up?
Thanks for reading!xx
