Breakfast with Father Christmas at Wyevale Garden Centre

Yes you read that title correctly we got to have breakfast with the man himself…Father Christmas!

We were invited to breakfast with Father Christmas at our local Wyevale Garden Centre John Browns; it was the start of our festive antics and a fab way to kick off the month of December. We ordered our food in advance and it mentioned that there would be biscuit decorating as well which I knew Amelia would love.

We arrived and we were greeted by a super friendly elf who was just so lovely to Amelia! The two elves doing all the serving were really rushed off their feet the entire time but I felt we had a lovely attentive service from them all whilst their costume bells jingled!

The table was set so lovely complete with an activity sheet for Amelia, a letter for her to write and crackers for us to pull. The space was decorated really nicely and felt so festive. After we had been served our drinks we went over and sat as a group to sing a song to help save Father Christmas from the pirates that had captured him. He then arrived and said hello to everyone which Amelia was a bit shy about at first. We then went back to our seats and breakfast was served!

I felt this was a nice time as it meant we could all eat and Father Christmas wandered amongst those waiting for food and those who had finished and got to chat a bit more to all the children. Some took up their letters they had written and said hello. This was great for Amelia as she was really shy at first but this kind of situation allowed her to ease into it without too much pressure.

The breakfast was really nice and a generous portion which was great and my parents who came with us were served unlimited tea which they were happy with!

After breakfast was all cleared which did take a bit of time but it was just one of those situations where they could have maybe done with a couple more extra hands to help out it was time to decorate the biscuits. Each child was given a snowman biscuit a little piping bag and some sprinkles, chocolate chips and mini marshmallows to use. I thought this was so lovely and Amelia was so impressed as it was all her favourite things!

She got stuck in with the decorating and did a lovely biscuit. Father Christmas came over and chatted to her whilst she decorated and he told her that sprinkles are also his favourite which Amelia was really chuffed with.

After the biscuits were decorated tables were invited up to get some photos with Father Christmas and so the children could choose a gift. It’s nice to be able to choose so you can get something you definitely like but I think Amelia would have loved to open something up.

Our breakfast with Father Christmas experience was over and it was such a lovely morning! I would totally recommend the experience especially for little ones who might be a little more shy about meeting Father Christmas!

There is loads going on at Wyevale Garden Centres so check them out to see what’s happening at your local.

Thanks for reading!xx

Aw looks like she had such a lovely time. We couldn’t make our local one as it had sold out. Will be trying next year though.
