Learning to use a pair of scissors is a tricky task for little ones. But as it’s a necessary fine motor skill there are some ways to practice that are lots of fun. Today I’m sharing an Easter Egg Cutting Activity and a FREE Printable. You can download, print off and enjoy with your toddlers/preschoolers.
Using this printable is perfect for plain paper, card or as we did on some patterned paper. Amelia loved the floral paper. You can either let them cut around the egg shape or do that yourself and then let them follow the lines.
I love watching Amelia’s face when she’s cutting as she is seriously concentrating when doing this and makes the cutest faces! She loved doing the straight lines and asked for a little bit of help with the wiggly and zigzags.
This is a great five minute, boredom buster activity for little ones. A good one to get out if you have a few minutes spare and just want a little activity to keep you going.
If printed on plain paper they could also be used for colouring!
