Half term is now behind us, we actually packed quite a bit into a week so I thought I would share what we got up to, mostly in the form of photos!
The first weekend was freezing cold, so we didn’t get out and about too much. We did however end up getting lost in the woods but managed to get a pretty good view from the top! We started the week with a day trip to Mottisfont Gardens with Amy and her girls from Everything Mummy. The girls had a lovely time running about, the sun was shining and at one point they even had their coats off!? It was a great start to the week.
Amelia still had her midweek swim lesson so we tied that in with lunch out with my Mum and a mosey around some shops. We got the Trolls dvd which we’ve watched numerous times already, it’s such a good film! Thursday we went over to Studland. I had a blogger fail on this day as I’d forgotten my memory card for my camera which was really annoying but it was beautifully sunny so we enjoyed a walk along the beach and a pit stop for hot chocolate and pastries.
The end of the week hit and we went to Honeybrook Farm with some friends for the day which was so lovely, I’ve blogged separately about that here. We had a great day running around, looking at the animals, posing on hay bales and Amelia had a pony ride.
Once the weekend arrived so did my Sister, Amelia was very excited to have her Aunty Hollie to stay and didn’t leave her side the majority of the weekend. Saturday’s weather was the best it’s been so far this year; gorgeous blue skies and it was actually fairly mild, Spring is coming people!! We had a slow Saturday morning of pancakes and playing then we went down to the beach for a walk and scoot. Amelia’s really come on with her scooter since I last mentioned it.We then went down to Poole Quay for another little walk/scoot along the front and had our first Mr Whippy of the year!
Our final day of the half term was pretty chilled; we went out for a dog walk along by the river at Throop Mill which is really beautiful and Amelia had a good splash about in the river and then a huge muddy puddle. We had a really nice week off and crammed lots in but still had plenty of chilled time which was much needed!
Hope those of you who had half term had a good one and those who are just starting it have a great week!
Thanks for reading!xx
