Now that it’s November Halloween is well and truly over and we can move onto getting excited for Christmas, which I really can’t wait for! We actually had a really busy Halloween; as it landed over half term Amelia ended up having multiple parties and events to attend…oh to have the social life of my three year old!
Halloween celebrations for us started on the Thursday where we attended the Minky Moo’s Baby goes Clubbing Halloween party. We are huge fans of Minky Moo’s and Amelia used to go to their sensory classes when she was younger and we try to attend the monthly themed clubbing event. Amelia had decided she wanted to go as a pumpkin and I didn’t love many of the pumpkin outfits I found but when I spotted this one in Sainsburys I knew I had to squeeze Amelia into it (the biggest size was 18-24months!) Amelia loved the clubbing; having a good dance and sing with her friends and just being a crazy toddler for a couple of hours!
The next day we had Amelia’s besties Halloween party which Amelia was really excited for. She had decided that she wanted to go as a Witch to this party so I was pretty pleased that the costume she had for our Halloween Party last year I got in a size up so it still fitted nicely this year. The spread at the party was brilliant and the kids had a dance about, played Halloween style pass the parcel and tucked into a lot of chocolate!
After the party we headed to Sussex for the weekend and thankfully Amelia slept for a bit of the journey after busy morning partying!
The Monday of actual Halloween Amelia went back to preschool. Dressed in yet another costume, Bat Girl this time and armed with some cupcakes I made Amelia went in for the preschool Halloween party. It sounded like they all had loads of fun and the cupcakes went down a treat. I loved how they turned out and they were super simple; just a simple vanilla cupcake and vanilla frosting then to make it swirled you just paint food colouring down the inside of the piping bag so that it picks it up as you pipe. The sprinkles were from Waitrose and were the perfect topper to decorate the cupcakes.
Our final Halloween event was Halloween evening at the Lollipops Halloween party. Lollipops is a local soft play cafe. They put together such a brilliant event Amelia had the best time. It was just the right amount of children and with soft play, making potions, dancing and games there was so much for them to do and enjoy. I even got the chance to enjoy an Oreo Hot Chocolate which was as incredible as it sounds. Amelia was pretty chuffed to be leaving with a bag full of treats which she munched her way through the good stuff on the way home!
We had such a lovely Halloween and I didn’t really realise how busy we would be until the few days arrived but definitely loads of fun!
What did you get up to this Halloween?
