I’ve had a bit of a mare photographing for this month’s Home Life Project. I missed the original weekend I should have photographed then forgot that I was going to do it on the Saturday so this was a day in our lives on Sunday!
I’m not overly enthused with our photos from this month but they tell the story of our day. There’s a few in there I like and I love that this makes me use my camera in situations that I potentially wouldn’t have done and forces me to try new things. I’m really not a fan of taking photos indoors unless it’s really bright outside but taking part in this project has forced me to and to look at using my camera in a different way.
Sunday morning I woke up in Amelia’s bed, we had pulled it out into the King size so that myself, Amelia and my Sister who was down for the weekend could have a sleepover. Amelia actually gave us a small lie in which was a treat! Amelia helped make everyone cups of tea and we played puzzle races, Amelia had a bit of a strop because she didn’t win every time and then we had a later breakfast, bacon sandwiches yum!
I took Amelia out for a little walk round so she could have a scoot, just to break the morning up a little. It was pretty drizzle out but it did brighten up a little by the afternoon. We came home and I set Amelia up with a Spring Playdough tray which she played with for a good hour. Then it was time to say bye to Auntie Hollie and get ready for one of Amelia’s friends parties. She glammed up in a new dress and necklace, looking super cute! On the way back from the party I grabbed us some tea from McDonalds and we went down to the beach. We ate our McDonalds in the car (classy) and then went for a quick run about. The tide was out which is always a favourite of mine and it was a lovely way to end our day. Our evening went the same as most evenings do; a few games, a bath, a story and then cuddles before bedtime!
What had started with what I thought would be a quiet day bar the party actually ended up being pretty busy with lots of Mummy Meelie time which was really nice.
