Being part of the GLTC Testing Team means that sometimes we get the tough job of testing out new toys. I know right it’s hard but someones gotta do it to make sure all these toys are good enough for all the children. This time we were tasked with the Lolly & Scoop Ice Cream Shop so with the help of one of Amelia’s friends we got stuck in playing.
As always when unpacking a Great Little Trading Company product I get so excited. The Lolly & Scoop Ice Cream Shop and all the pieces looked amazing and I couldn’t wait to get them together. I managed to successfully assemble the shop myself with the assistance of a small person nagging at me every few seconds “is it ready yet?” “can we play ice cream’s yet?” and it was fairly simple to get together and looked so good once it was done.
Straight away Amelia was busy making ice cream’s and we spotted the magnetised ice cream scoops that you could use with the magnetic spoon, how cool is that?!
We spent ages all taking it in turns being the ice cream shop man/lady and the customers. No matter what anyone ordered at the shop your ice cream was complete with a wafer, a generous squeeze of both flavours of sauce and basically came to a hefty cost of £20! Phew good job GLTC ice cream is worth it.
Amelia’s friend came over to play and we set up a little ice cream stall in the garden and they spent ages taking it in turns buying ice creams and making them. They both loved using the “magic” spoon and making delicious treats.
I think the attention to detail of the product is fantastic. The sliding door at the back makes for easy access and the slots within the build make it easy to put in your ice cream, cones and tubs away. The lolly sticks have little jokes on them and these kinds of additions are just some of the things I love about Great Little Trading Company products. I love the style of this piece it fits perfectly in modern homes and almost doesn’t look like a child’s toy. The bright colours make it so appealing for children to play with and it’s definitely a toy that little ones will love playing with.
You all know how much of a fan of wooden toys I am, and this one is no exception (it’s probably a new favourite) as there is nothing better than just playing and not being instructed on how to play with electric products. The Lolly & Scoop Ice Cream shop is great for role play and letting children’s imaginations run wild.
Would your little ones like this toy?
