Toddler Bedroom; Ice Cream Dreams, Sprinkles & Rainbows!

It’s not been a while since I posted about Amelia’s bedroom but we’ve got some new pieces and it’s had a little makeover. Her room is full of my favourite brands and is such a happy space. I mean what could be wrong with, sprinkles, ice creams, rainbows and floral all mixed together to create a bright, girly toddler friendly room!

Amelia’s bedroom has previously featured a floral design when she first got her toddler bedroom which you can check out here and then it got updated a little bit here but I love this updated version. Maybe slightly ahead of the Spring/Summer weather but Amelia’s bedroom is ready or dreaming for the warmer weather!

The whole ice cream/sprinkles addition came to me when Great Little Trading Company introduced a new design and asked if we wanted to test out the latest bedding design; Sprinkles Duvet Cover Set. As soon as it arrived it made me so happy and couldn’t wait to get it on Amelia’s bed. The duvet is brilliant quality and the sprinkles are a mix of bright and pastel colours, such a simple design looks so great! One of my favourite bits of the bedding is piping around the edges, it finishes it off perfectly!

The bedding goes perfectly with the patchwork quilt from IKEA and helps to keep the room nice and bright but still has the bursts colour that I love including red, pink and yellow! I’ve always loved Amelia’s room to be light and girly but not overly pink and fluffy!

I got the storage boxes from H&M last year and got two of three different designs so that I could have four in the cube and two elsewhere so I swapped out the floral ones and put in the spotty yellow ones with the pink pinstripe ones to go best with the bedding and I think having the yellow really helps to carry on the colour scheme.

I had my eyes on a few other pieces to complete Amelia’s bedroom and got the Ice Cream light and pear light from Hey Baby which is a super nice shop fairly local to me that is filled with all your modern children’s accessories, toys and clothes. DSCN5283

Being totally ice cream obsessed at this point I got the ice cream lollies from Jojo Maman Bebe and when I spotted the ice cream cushion and post cards from This Modern Life I couldn’t resist! I love that the cushion is double sided, pink on one and yellow on the other so it sits nicely both on the bed and the ottoman in either colour.

The gorgeous town house shelves from Great Little Trading Company and bunting are still in the same place and still have the pretty maid dolls in them. She got this fairy door for Christmas and it looks so cute inside the shelf!

The other side of Amelia’s room is pretty much the same as it was before. Her dolls house now sits on the table so she can either play with it up there or it can get moved to the floor to play with or if she wants to sit up to the table and do something else. The teepee is still in the corner. I did have a day where I moved all the furniture around but this is actually the nicest way and utilises the space the best so I put it back to how it was originally.

The only other new feature to her room is the star coat hooks also from Great Little Trading Company. I was having storage issues for Amelia’s many coats and finally found the best storage solution.

Finally is the sign on Amelia’s door. Amelia got this around Christmas time so it’s not really a new addition but it hasn’t featured in a blog post. This gorgeous rainbow plaque with the letters of her name is from Jojo Maman Bebe and is the perfect entry to her room!

So there we have Amelia’s current bedroom theme. I love it and would spend all day in there if I could! The different themes all work really well together and it’s definitely a room that can have new additions as and when I see them and be easily transformed. The Sprinkles bedding is by far my favourite part of the room and this room will be perfectly themed for the summer!

Thanks for reading!xx

I love Amelia’s room! It is so nice, fresh and full of beautiful colours without being ‘too much’. We have the fab day bed as well (looking at it as I type!) and the set of wooden lollies from GLTC is my trademark present! Love the pear light: so precious!

This is a lovely room, I was just looking at this sprinkles bed linen so it’s good to see it in situ! My daughter is just about to move from a cot to a bed but as we are moving house soon I’m waiting until then. I have my eye on this bed too as it has the storage space, I didn’t know it had a pull out mattress, how ingenious! x
