Valentines Playdough Platter

Today I’m sharing a Valentines Playdough themed activity. Like previous playdough platters it features different items to use with the playdough as well as normal tools and cutters.

The playdough recipes I used feature in another post just gone live today Playdough Five Wayincluding original, scented, glittery, rough and stretchy. You can find the recipe for those HERE.

I love home made playdough it’s so easy to make and you can do lots of fun things to it and be really creative. Amelia’s favourite out of the Valentines Playdough was the marbled glittery playdough and the stretchy playdough made out of hair conditioner and cornflour. It’s so soft and silky and really stretches!

To make the scented dough I used some strawberry shower gel and it smelt so good!

Amelia Valentines Playdough

In the platter I put heart cupcake cases, pipe cleaners, lolly sticks, draws, foam hearts, cutters and playdough tools.

Making the little cupcakes was really fun. We rolled balls out of the different playdough and covered the tops in foam hearts and stuck pipe cleaners in as candles, all Amelia’s idea. Then one of Amelia’s favourite things to do is to make hedgehogs out of playdough; basically a big pile of playdough that she can push sticks, straws and pipe cleaners into!

The options with playdough are endless and when it’s home made you have the added extra of being as creative as you like!

I hope you liked this Valentines Playdough idea.

Thanks for reading!xx

This looks brilliant, Isla loves play doh, I really need to start setting her up little activities like this to keep her busy as she is always on the go and sometimes I need her to sit still for 5 minutes for me to get stuff done! Im definitely going to give this a go 🙂 x
