This is something I’m super excited about and I cannot wait to share our experience with you all – were Camp Bestival Bloggers. A bit late in the game but last minute plans are always the best as you don’t have as long to wait.
So in two weeks time myself, Amelia and my parents will be taking the short drive to Lulworth Castle for three days of festival fun! This year we won’t be camping as it’s local to us and Amelia’s sleep routine is already shot to pieces but I think that will work out just fine for us and we will still get the full festival experience. I am so excited to take Amelia to her first festival I’m so sure she is going to love it and I’m busy planning my toddler must haves for festivals and all the things we will need to survive; which hopefully shouldn’t be too many as we aren’t camping.
Camp Bestival is the family friendly festival sister to the Isle of Wight Bestival but set in Dorset. This year its being held the weekend 30th July-2nd August and the theme for the year is ‘Camp Bestival Goes Wild’- so get ready for some cute toddler festival fancy dress.
There is literally so so much to do at Camp Bestival and something for everyone so I’m going to be as organised as possible so that we don’t miss any of the super good things. I’m actually most excited about exploring all the things there are to do for Kids and even the kids area is separated into bits suitable for slightly older and younger children. From a quick look the things I definitely want to see/do are-
I think this would be super amusing for Amelia to watch and for adults too.
Who doesn’t love Mr Tumble?!
We are huge Julia Donaldson fans and this is the newest to our collection so I would love to see what the live version had to offer.
Apparently this is the place to party for kids. Bubbles, glitter canons and parachutes sounds pretty awesome to me!
This is set slightly away from the festival and is there is crafts, stories and just a slightly calmer atmosphere which would be great if Amelia was tired and needed recharging.
There’s also films playing in The Big Top tent, soft play and a sand pit among endless things to keep Amelia amused!
Things I want to check out for myself;
The Food!!!! The array of different foods at Camp Bestival looks ammaaazing. So I’m sure we will be eating well for the weekend, but it will be a tough choice I’m sure.
I’m sure the more I delve into the website and past reviews the longer my list of things to do will get. It is going to be a jam packed weekend but I can’t wait.
If anyone has any Festival tips or has previously been to Camp Bestival I would love to know all about it!
Thanks for reading!xx
